Rachel G. Inabnit
Rachel is passionate about assisting you with your family law case and she aims to make the process as painless as possible. Rachel brings experience, knowledge, and empathy to her practice and understands that you are going through an immensely difficult time in your life.
Rachel earned her JD from the University of Montana in 2017. In law school, Rachel was a member of Montana Law Review and competed on the National Moot Court team. Rachel studied psychology for her undergraduate degree, which led to an interest in practicing in the area of family law upon graduation of law school. After years of active family law litigation and watching families dwindle their bank accounts, destroy relationships, and after seeing how this process can affect involved children, Rachel saw a need for a divorce procedure that was simpler, cheaper, and more amicable. Inspired by a process that could enable families to make these changes in a way that ultimately benefited their children, bank accounts, and overall well-being, Rachel started catering her practice to offer amicable divorce mediation packages for families who want to get a divorce and remain more emotionally and financially intact afterwards. Head here for more information on amicable divorces.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys relaxing and adventuring with her husband and son, riding horses, biking, cooking, and reading.
Elijah L. Inabnit
Elijah Inabnit (“Eli”) believes he can best serve his clients by first developing a thorough understanding of the facts of their case and using that knowledge to fashion clear arguments in support of his client’s needs and goals. Eli strives to be a reliable communicator with his clients and to provide efficient strategies to help them navigate some of the toughest challenges life may bring. Eli’s areas of practice include general civil litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury, auto accidents, commercial motor vehicle accidents, construction defects, and consumer protection claims.
Eli graduated from the University of Montana School of Law with honors in 2017. During law school, Eli was an editor of the Montana Law Review and had his work chosen for publication. He also competed on the National Moot Court team where his team won the northwest regional competition. Eli completed a clinical internship with the Missoula City Attorney’s Office trying misdemeanor bench trials while also interning for the longstanding Missoula defense firm of Garlington, Lohn & Robinson.
Following law school, Eli clerked for Dana L. Christensen, then-chief judge of the United States District Court for the District of Montana, for two years. During this time, Eli developed an understanding and appreciation for the federal court system as well as the effort and organization required for successful representation. In 2019, Eli began working as an associate attorney at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, where he was exposed to a wide variety of cases, including representing Montana hospitals and doctors in medical malpractice cases, representing some of the largest trucking companies in the United States in commercial motor vehicle accidents, and defending Fortune 500 companies in Montana courts in a variety of complex civil litigation cases. Eli has tried cases in Montana courts and handled appeals to both the Montana Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. This experience is invaluable in the handling of his client’s cases, as it has provided Eli with a breadth of knowledge as to the considerations that are being made by the individuals, companies, and insurers that are being held liable. When he was up for partnership in 2025, Eli decided that he wanted to commit his skills to help injured Montanans obtain the justice they deserve.
Eli grew up in Missoula competing in freestyle mogul skiing, racing motorcycles, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Eli waited tables through college and then worked as a land surveyor tech and draftsman for years before deciding to go to law school. Eli and Rachel welcomed their son, Amory, in 2024 and Eli is so excited to introduce him to the abundant outdoor pursuits Montana offers.
